Double and simple closed circulation
Explain about the double and simple closed circulation?
Expert
In double closed circulation, or closed circulation, the blood circulates through the two associated and parallel vascular systems: one which carries the blood to and takes the blood from peripheral tissues and the other which carries the blood to and takes the blood from tissues which perform the gas exchange through the environment, such as, the lungs. Double circulation takes place in the reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals. Simple closed circulation, or simple circulation, refers to the one in which tissues which perform the process of gas exchange are associated in series along with the systemic circulation, just as in fishes.
