Diseases of the connective tissue are inherited or acquired diseases having some characteristics such as deficiency in structure or function of the components of connective tissue, for instance, deficiencies of collagen, elastin, so forth. Some of such diseases are lupus, cheloid, dermatomyositis, scleroderma, mixed connective tissue disease, mucinosis and Marfan's syndrome.
