Pancreas which secretes the trypsinogen which, undergoing action of enzyme enterokinase secreted by duodenum is converted into the trypsin. Trypsin catalyzes the activation of pancreatic chymotrypsinogen into the chymotrypsin. chymotrypsin and Trypsin are proteases which break proteins into the smaller peptides. Smaller peptides are then broken down into the amino acids through the enzyme carboxipeptidase also secreted by pancreas in the zymogen form and activated by the trypsin) aided by the enzyme aminopeptidase formed in the intestinal mucous membrane.
