Briefly describe the differentiation between the EXCEPT and INTERSECT operators?

EXCEPT : Two query expressions are measured and the differentiation between the outcomes will be returned through EXCEPT operator. The outcome set will have rows returned from the first set of rows except the rows those are as well returned from the second set of rows.
INTERSECT : The outcome of two queries is measured and returns the rows that are frequent to each.
