In Respiratory alkalosis, the pH is high due to raised expelling of carbon-dioxide caused by the elevated respiratory frequency. In Metabolic alkalosis, the alkalosis caused by metabolic disturbances which raise the concentration of bases (or alkalis) in the blood.
