Expert
Water-soluble vitamins are those soluble in water. Fat-soluble vitamins are such soluble in oil (lipids and fat). Vitamin C and vitamins of the B complex are illustrations of water-soluble vitamins. Vitamins A, D, E and K are illustrations of fat-soluble vitamins. The Fat-soluble vitamins, as they are not soluble in water, can’t easily be excreted by body. Therefore they tend to accumulate in tissues with toxic consequence whenever they are ingested in amounts over what is essential.
