Expert
Synapses are the structures which transmit neural impulse among two neurons. When the electric impulse arrives presynaptic membrane of axon liberates neurotransmitters which bind to postsynaptic receptors of dendrites of next cell. The activated state of these receptors changes the permeability of dendritic membrane and electric depolarization propagates along with neuron plasma membrane to its axon.
