Give a brief description of the term parasitism?

Parasitism is ecological interaction in that a being lives at expense of another. The parasite often doesn’t cause immediate death of host since it needs host alive to survive.

Parasitism is inharmonious (negative) inter-specific ecological interaction, because though one participant benefit other is harmed.
