Stem cells are undifferentiated cells capable to differentiate in other kinds of specialized cells. The stem cells of bone marrow originate differentiated blood cells. According to stimulus from particular growth factors the stem cells are turned in red blood cells, leukocytes and megakaryocytes (cells which form platelets).
