The most cost-effective and convenient process of cultivating a broad variety of animal viruses is the chicken embryo procedure.  In this method fertile chicken eggs incubated for 5 to 12 days are incubated with the virus particles via the shell, aseptically. The opening manner is sealed with the paraffin wax.

The eggs incubated at 36°C are the ideal sources for growth of viruses.
