Describe Database Administration

Database Administration: It is a job whose primary function is the general support of a computer database. Such support tasks are executed by a person termed as a database administrator, or DBA. Databases need constant management and up-keep, and a DBA is particularly trained to execute all of the functions essential to do so. The DBA is generally needed to have certification or a degree in supporting a particular kind of database system, like Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server. Usually, he or she will employ a database management system, or DBMS, software package having programs designed to help in database administration.
