Muscles are what we generally call flesh. They encompass the power of contraction and as a result of expansion too. Whenever a muscle contracts, it becomes thicker and shorter similar to a piece of rubber its two ends coming closer to each other. The source of supply of energy to the muscle is the combustion of glucose supply to the muscle by oxygen and blood it carries with it.
