Define the term homeostasis
Define the term homeostasis? What are sensors, controllers and effectors of the homeostasis?
Expert
Homeostasis includes the processes by which the organism maintains sufficient intra and extracellular conditions to stay possible the normal reactions of metabolism. Homeostatic sensors are structures which detect information from the inner and outer atmosphere of the body. Such sensors might be nervous receptor cells, cytoplasmic or membrane proteins and other specialized molecules. The controllers are structures accountable for processing and interpreting information obtained from the sensors. Controllers in common are specialized areas of the central nervous system however on molecular level there are as well some of them, such as DNA, a molecule which can get information from proteins to stimulate or inhibit the expression of various genes.
Effectors are the elements commanded by controllers which have the function of bringing about actions which in fact regulate and sustain the equilibrium of organism, such as muscles, glands, cellular organelles, and so on and in the molecular level structures which participate in the genetic translation, the produced proteins and so on.
