Define the term ADP phosphorylation
Define the term ADP phosphorylation? What correspondingly are oxidative phosphorylation and photophosphorylation?
Expert
ADP phosphorylation is the addition of one inorganic phosphate into the molecule of adenosine diphosphate therefore forming ATP (that is, adenosine triphosphate) and incorporating energy. The phosphorylation is oxidative whenever the energy incorporated comes from the breaking of organic molecules containing oxygen as reagent, as in aerobic cellular respiration. The reaction is termed as photophosphorylation if the energy source is light, as in photosynthesis. The energy included into ATP is disposable (discharged) to other cellular reactions whenever ATP hydrolyzes and ADP is made again.
