Line caps can be used to give a better appearance also to regulate form of the line ends. Line caps are of 3 types. Butt cap has a square end, round cap which has a semi circle end, projecting square cap that has one and a half of the line width beyond the specified end points.

The attributes of the line are line type, width and colour. The line type comprises solid line, dashed lines as well as dotted lines.
