Help Desk: In business enterprises, a help desk is a place which a user of information technology can call to obtain help with a trouble. In most of the companies, a help desk is merely one person with a phone number and a more or less organized thought of how to handle the troubles that come in. In bigger companies, a help desk might consist of a group of experts employing software to help track the status of troubles and other special software to aid analyze troubles (for illustration, the position of a company's telecommunications network).
