Crank Case Compression
Write brief note on Crank Case Compression.
Expert
It occurs only in the two stroke engines. Fresh air fuel mixture enters into the crank case as the inlet port gets opened (when the piston moves up). When the piston comes down, the air fuel mixture is compressed partially, as the size of piston is smaller in comparison to the size of the crank case. The mixture is partially compressed in the crank case, and it made to enter into the combustion chamber through the transfer port. This process is called as Crank Case Compression .
