Besides the skin, there exist other covering tissues which are made up of epithelium over the layers of other tissue. They are the tissues which cover the internal surfaces of the hollow organs, such as, organs of the digestive tube, airway, the ureters, the renal tubules, the urethra, the bladder and the blood vessels.
