Blood is made up of the liquid and the cellular part. The fluid part is known as plasma and in it there exist several substances, such as lipids, proteins, carbohydrates and mineral salts. Cellular constituents of blood are also called as blood corpuscles and they comprises of erythrocytes (red blood cells), platelets and leukocytes.
