The vascular tissues of plants are xylem and phloem. Xylem refers to the plant tissue which forms the vessels which conduct water and mineral salts absorbed from the soil up to the plant cells.
Phloem is plant tissue which forms the vessels which carry the dissolved sugar from leaves, where they are generated by the photosynthesis to the other plant cells.
