The three components of Social interaction are Familistic, Contractual and Compulsive.

The familistic component consists of actions, mutual acts and practices that are complementary and consistent in a solidary direction. The duration involved is long and the interaction is both intensive and extensive.

The Contractual component can be partly solidary and partly antagonistic. The duration is narrow and interaction is limited. It involves action and is legal in nature. The compulsive interaction is generally interaction between conflicting nations, lifelong enemies, competing groups of religion etc. The major highlights of this type of interaction are the use of coercion and manipulation.
