Coacervates made of phospholipids or polypeptides
How may the coacervates be made up of the phospholipids or polypeptides?
Expert
Phospholipids are described as the amphipathic molecules, that is, they have the polar portion and the nonpolar portion. In contact with the water these molecules tend to spontaneously join and organize themselves making the membranes which form the closed interior space separated from the exterior environment. Polypeptide chains in their turn may attract the water making the surrounding water layer and too creating the organized structure with the delimited interior space.
