Amines can be categorized in primary amines, those to which one –R (or variable radical) which is close to–NH2, secondary amines, those where one hydrogen of the NH2 is substituted by the another one –R, therefore having two –R, as well as tertiary amines, those with no hydrogen bound to nitrogen and with three –R.
