In “crustaceans” there exist species having direct and others having indirect development. In insects there are some species without having larval stage, while others undergoing the indirect development starting with the egg stage followed by the nymph stage while others having indirect development starting with larval stage . Transformation of larva into the adult individual is known as metamorphosis.
