Charts seem to be very useful since they are considered as an excellent tool in order to represent the data within the worksheet in the visually appealing format that helps in analyzing and comparing the data.

Three chart types which are available within the Excel include:

a) Pie Chart – It displays proportional size of the data which forms the data series and is useful whenever we wishes to give emphasis over the significant element.

b) Column Chart – It display the data changes over the period of time and illustrates the comparisons among items.  

c) Bar Chart – It describes the comparisons among the individual items. Categories are structured vertically, values horizontally to focus on comparing the values and to put less emphasis over time.
