The principle of chain surveying is to split the area into a number of triangles of appropriate sides. Chain surveying is the one of the simplest method of surveying and doesn’t require the angle measurement.
Limitations of Chain Surveying are:
a) The chain surveying cannot be employed into the forested areas. b) The chain surveying is not possible within the undulating area and land having many details.
