Whenever creating an animation by using the word Cell animation method, then each character is drawn on a separate piece of the transparent paper. The background is as well drawn on a separate piece of opaque paper. Then whenever it comes to shooting the animation, the various characters are overlaid on top of background in each frame. This technique as well saves time in that the artists don’t encompass to draw in entire frames, however instead just the paths which require changing such as individual characters. Even the separate parts of a character’s body are placed on the separate pieces of the transparent paper.
