Explain how does the caffeine effect the growth of the plant?

Minerals such as potassium are generally found alongside caffeine when it takes place within the plant sources such as coffee beans, and which would help plant grow faster. Though, the caffeine itself might be unlikely to have any effect over the rate of growth of the plant.
I tested it and the plant grew at the normal rate however the leaves became more wrinkly and browner.
