Antigen-presenting cells of immune system
Specify some of the antigen-presenting cells of immune system?
Expert
The antigen-presenting cells of the immune system, also called as APC cells, are cells which do phagocytosis and digestion of the foreign (to the body) microorganisms and later expose the antigens derived from these microorganisms in outer side of their plasma membrane. These processed antigens are then recognized by the lymphocytes which activate the immune response. Various types of cells, such as, the macrophages, act as the antigen-presenting cells.
