Expert
The cells which presents antigen of the immune system, also recognized as APC cells, are cells that do phagocytosis and absorption of distant (to the body) microorganisms and afterwards expose antigens derived from these microorganisms in the external side of their plasma membrane. These developed antigens are then identified by lymphocytes that turn on the immune response. Various types of cells, such as macrophages, can act like antigen-presenting cells.
