American Crow is kept under the Order Pesseriformes because they are perching birds and less accurately song birds.  Their vocal chords are highly developed.

Falcon is kept under the Order Falconiformes since they are diurnal birds of prey. They have strong legs and feet with raptorial claws and an opposable hind claw. Nearly all Falconiformes are carnivorous, hunting by sight throughout the day or at twilight. They are exceptionally long-lived, and most encompass low reproductive rates.
