Adult and human fatal circulation
Concerning the mixture of arterial with venous blood state the difference between the adult circulation and the human fatal circulation?
Expert
In human fatal circulation there exist two communications between arterial and venous blood characterizing an incomplete circulation. One of them is oval foramen, an opening between right and left atria of the fatal heart. The other is arterial duct, a short vessel joining the pulmonary artery with the aorta. These communications close down a few days after the birth and thus, they are not present within the adult heart.
