Exchange Server 2007 supports servers which have "x64" processors. Many of latest servers consist of processors from AMD and Intel which offers this x64 support. The Intel processors are called Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology (or EM64T), and the AMD processors are called AMD64. Exchange Server 2007 doesn’t support Itanium (or IA-64) processors.
